To lead the Asset Management Commercial Properties Team and provide a comprehensive Estates management service for the Council’s commercial property portfolio.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: HO5 SCP39-41 £47,420-£49,498 per annum (pay award pending)

We are looking for a collaborative individual to become part of a great team, and who has the experience to drive forward our ambitious plans and to help deliver an efficient estates service and to support colleagues in their delivery plans.
In your role as Assets Manager within Estates, you will play a key part in ensuring the Councils’ property portfolios are future-proofed, income generation is maximised, and the estates are effectively managed to deliver the Councils’ ambitions. You will be able to negotiate in the Councils’ best interests and provide sound valuation advice. You will be qualified to MRICS and be able to demonstrate substantial valuation and property management experience together with a good knowledge of relevant legislation. You will also need to be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse stakeholder matrix.
Fylde Council has a varied and interesting property portfolio which includes tourist attractions, a range of community spaces including 10km of coastal and estuarine hard and soft sea defences, footpaths and rights of way, award winning public gardens and parks, car parks, corporate buildings and depots.

The Isle of Wight Council’s property estate is extensive and with a diverse portfolio, comes a varied and exciting caseload. With nearly 800 property assets in total, the 150 or so operational assets includes: offices, schools, leisure centres, libraries, museums, care homes, family centres, storage units, cemeteries, heritage buildings/landmarks, parks, and beaches. The commercially let portfolio includes industrial units, industrial ground leases, restaurants, cafés, leisure businesses, beach huts, tourism concessions, offices, and a substantial industrial portfolio on the mainland.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic general practice surveyor with keen professional instincts to help us improve and deliver a quality property management service for the Council. Working in a supportive, professional and high-profile team, you will be responsible for a varied caseload of routine and strategic property management work with the opportunity to get involved in other areas as might suit your interests and expertise.
