ACES key annual event for learning and networking
ACES key annual event for learning and networking
The ACES flagship event of the year will be an in-person event in September 2023 with the usual line up of excellent speakers and great networking opportunities for ACES members and others working in or for the public sector at exceptional value for money.
Venue: Radisson Hotel, York
Conference Date: Thursday 21st September 2023 (one day event)
Conference Networking Meal: Wednesday 20th September (evening)
Social Programme: Thursday 21st September (one day, with option for visitor pass on Friday)
In September ACES will gather in York at the Radisson Hotel to hear how the Health Sector and Public Sector can work together to achieve common goals, efficiencies & costs savings, deliver new facilities, contribute to regeneration schemes and achieve best practice in the property profession, all with the ultimate aim of improving health and living for the community.
The day will focus on how we can collectively work together to bring forward new health developments and contribute to the wider health, wellbeing and social value agenda. Questions to be answered, amongst others are : What are the key areas that need to be considered, how should the partnerships work together to ensure an outcome; what does the leadership and governance look like ?
The day will be split into defined sessions developing the above, and will feature sessions on Place, Strategy, Finance including Valuation, Construction and Planning, and Landlord and Tenant. There will be plenty of case studies showing what does and doesn’t work – and the reasons why, along with technical elements. There will also be discussions on broader current property matters.
ACES are delighted to have secured the following organisations to deliver the sessions:
The 2023 conference is open to everyone who works within the public sector, and there will be many opportunities for open discussions, networking and accruing CPD.

Due to its popularity as an all-year round visitor centre, York commands premium prices when it comes to its hotel accommodation. Our conference centre is superbly situated in the city for our business conference and social programme, but the hotel is expensive. However, we hope the extra cost on this occasion is worth it.
We have reserved bedrooms at the Radisson Hotel (the venue) at a fixed rate of £174 single and £184 double per night including breakfast and we are asking delegates to book their required accommodation direct with the hotel.
To book:
Go to www.radissonhotels.com
Select Hotel (Radisson Hotel York), dates and amount of people in room.
Under “Selected Rates” choose Promotional Code and enter the code NHSP2109.
The agreed rate only works for booking the Wednesday night and is for a standard room bed and breakfast single occupancy on a refundable basis. If you wish to book 2 or more nights, or have a different room, then you will need to book the Wednesday separately to get the agreed rate. However, please note that direct bookings without using the code may be cheaper than the agreed rate.
Please check the advertised rate on the website when booking as there may be special offers available and look at on-line hotel comparison sites to explore offers.
There are some cheaper accommodation options available in York but we expect most delegates will wish to be located on site. Further information on alternative accommodation below:
